Job Summary

As a seasoned Engineering leader, we seek an exceptional individual to spearhead our hotel's engineering department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing business strategies that align with our organization's mission, vision, values, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for the hotel's engineering department to drive achievement of the hotel's goals and objectives.
  • Monitor progress regularly and make adjustments as necessary to optimize results.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Committee to develop the annual budget.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual marketing, sales, and yield management plans and strategies.
  • Implement initiatives to continually improve the hotel's engineering department and ensure adherence to the hotel brand standards.
  • Maximize profitability and revenue by effectively directing the Engineering department.
  • Manage the Engineering department and third-party vendors to deliver superior service and quality.
  • Design and implement quality control programs.
  • Review contracts and negotiate revisions with vendors, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Interpret plans and contract terms with the Engineering team, management, clients, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with building safety codes, health, and safety laws, and other regulations by conducting walk-throughs to assess the safety and efficiency of equipment and maintenance of structure.
  • Maintain Responsible Business programs and training for the hotel.
  • Oversee hotel renovations, coordinate project status with the Regional Technical Services Office, architects, licensing agencies, contractors, and hotel management.
