Job Summary

We seek a WAN Support Engineer to deploy critical network services in a global engagement. The role demands expertise in network troubleshooting, hands-on experience with BGP routing, and a proven background in WAN operations from a Telecom or ISP environment.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in rotational shifts, including night hours, and prepared for multiple levels of client interaction during the selection process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and support WAN networks across global sites in a 24/7 rotational shift model.
  • Handle L2 escalations and troubleshoot incidents related to routing, switching, and WAN link issues.
  • Configure and maintain BGP routing and manage changes, updates, and problem resolutions.
  • Collaborate with telecom vendors and ISPs for link provisioning, troubleshooting, and escalations.
  • Maintain documentation for shift handovers, ticket logs, and RCA reports.
  • Ensure high network uptime and adherence to SLA targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
  • Experience with MPLS, OSPF, QoS.
  • Exposure to enterprise monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
  • Ability to create and update network diagrams and SOPs.
