Logistics Consultant Role Overview

This role entails collaborating with the digital/IT team to ensure high customer satisfaction through design and consulting activities.

The successful candidate will be working closely with consultants, analysts, and leads on the MA Active TMS program.

Key responsibilities of this position include conducting technical and functional discussions with customers and business teams to design, finalize, and develop enhancements.

Additional tasks involve developing operational flows, detail design documents, demonstrations, and implementation strategies.

The consultant will also collaborate with teams in coaching, mentoring, and offering guidance as needed.

Furthermore, they will ensure adherence to common work processes, standards, tools, and coordinate testing activities across project teams.

Mentoring other consultants within the team is also a vital aspect of this role.

Previous experience and expertise on TM deployment in Europe, Americas, and APAC are essential for success in this position.

Below are some key skills required for this role:

  • Shipment planning engine rules including routing criteria, routing strategy, routing template, parameter set, and related configurations
  • MA-TM base data: Equipment, path set, lanes, rates, mode, service level, product class, transit time, UoM, etc.
  • Understanding order management side of MAWM – aggregation, prioritization, pipeline, cubing, etc., and their impact on TM
  • Appointment and cut-off time management, tracking management, and integration with third-party carriers, brokers, visibility partners, etc.
  • Freight invoice management will be a future requirement for this position
