ERP Finance Consultant

The role of the ERP Finance Consultant is to lead and execute JD Edwards (JDE) ERP activities during organizational transitions such as mergers, acquisitions, and company spin-offs.

This includes end-to-end process mapping, configuration, data migration, compliance, and integration with external systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement JDE processes for company separation, including inactivation of accounts, closure of company codes, and data extraction strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the scope of divestiture and ensure alignment with business and compliance requirements.

The consultant will also be responsible for configuring and supporting modules such as GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and multi-currency setups. Additionally, they will lead historical data extraction and handover to acquiring entities, and ensure seamless integration with systems like SAP, Hyperion, and EBS during transitions.

Security and compliance are also key aspects of this role, with a focus on ensuring that all processes meet regulatory requirements.

Documentation and training are also essential components of this position, with the consultant responsible for preparing process documents, runbooks, and training materials, as well as conducting user training and creating self-help documentation to reduce support tickets.

Required skills and experience include:

  • ~12–15 years of experience in JD Edwards ERP with a focus on Finance and cross-functional modules.
  • ~Proven experience in at least one company separation, merger, or acquisition project.
  • ~Strong understanding of JDE configuration, data structures, and integration points.
  • ~Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOX, audit readiness).
