This role involves working with databases to ensure their smooth functioning. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as database administration, replication, troubleshooting, and database security to guarantee the company's databases run efficiently.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Installation and Configuration: Installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle database software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Database Security: Implementing and maintaining robust database security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimizing database performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, tuning SQL queries, and configuring database parameters.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting complex database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and system failures.
  • Backup and Recovery: Developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, ensuring business continuity and minimizing data loss.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong foundation in database concepts and administration, experience with Oracle database administration, knowledge of database architecture, SQL, and PL/SQL, analytical and problem-solving skills, familiarity with database security best practices, and technical skills such as Oracle Enterprise Manager.
