Operational Excellence Specialist Job Description

About the Role:

The Operational Excellence Specialist will spearhead performance transformation initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and profitability across global manufacturing sites and processes.

This position involves collaborating with site leadership teams and directorate-level stakeholders to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop cost-saving projects through operational efficiencies.
  2. Create policies and standards for group manufacturing excellence.
  3. Establish an Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) program to track production losses.
  4. Conduct diagnostics to identify areas for improvement.
  5. Apply value stream mapping to define processes and implement LEAN tools.
  6. Sponsor and support business initiatives to improve productivity.
  7. Promote proven methods to achieve manufacturing excellence.
  8. Ensure sustainability of improvements through training and leadership development.
  9. Mentor leaders to foster employee motivation.
  10. Improve product quality and services.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement.
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Lean Six Sigma expertise to drive business results.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Initiative and project management skills.
