Engineering Team Lead

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our team of engineers in designing, implementing, and testing control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Control System Design: Lead the design, implementation, and testing of control functions, interlocks, sequences, operator interfaces, and other control components on DCS and PLC platforms.
  • Project Management: Project control functions to be documented according to formats specified in standard templates or by the project lead.
  • Simulation and Testing: Prepare simulations, test scenarios, test documentation, and participate in customer factory acceptance tests.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Actively participate in project meetings, site visits, and startups. Possess a firm and increasing understanding of process control concepts and techniques.
  • Industry Standards: Be aware of industry standards and practices, e.g., ISA standards, that apply to control system design.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot control and communication problems between different systems during factory acceptance tests and at site.
  • Travel and Leadership: Willing to travel for site commissioning activities depending upon project requirements. Lead small projects or a clearly defined subset, e.g., graphics or interlocks, of a large project.
  • Data Management: Compile and maintain project databases, configuration data, or other project information.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Compile data and prepare reports for various activities such as customer proposals, FEED studies, project design documents, factory acceptance tests, and site acceptance procedures.
  • Innovation and Communication: Identify technical opportunities and economic justification for control system improvements and communicate those to the project manager and/or sales.
