Data Engineering Leadership Role

Our team seeks a seasoned Data Engineer to take on a leadership role in shaping the architecture and development of our data infrastructure. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale data systems that meet the needs of our business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-based technologies, particularly Azure or AWS. They should also possess expertise in building data pipelines using batch processing with Apache Spark (Spark SQL, Dataframe API) or Hive query language (HQL). Additionally, experience with streaming data pipeline using Apache Spark Structured Streaming or Apache Flink on Kafka & Delta Lake is highly desirable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining large-scale data architectures
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to source and process data
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers
  • Designing and implementing data delivery solutions

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies, particularly Azure or AWS
  • Experience with Apache Spark and/or Hive query language
  • Knowledge of NOSQL databases, preferably Cosmos DB
  • Ability to debug, fine-tune, and optimize large-scale data processing jobs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
