Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the Google Cloud stack and be proficient in developing scripts in Python, Go, or Perl to extract, transform, and update datasets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Extraction & Analysis:
    • Work with Google BigQuery and SQL to query and manipulate data.
    • Develop scripts to extract, transform, and update datasets.
    • Experience with MapReduce frameworks is an advantage.
  • Data Visualization:
    • Build reports and dashboards using Google Analytics and Looker Studio.
    • Create effective visualizations to present findings and communicate insights clearly.
  • Problem Solving & Pipeline Development:
    • Identify data engineering requirements and design scalable data pipelines.
    • Use data to propose solutions and actionable recommendations.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Analyze SQL queries and stored procedures to enhance query performance.
    • Apply techniques such as Indexing, Partitioning, Parallel Processing, Caching, Efficient Storage Formats (Parquet/ORC), and In-memory Computing.
  • Scheduling & Automation:
    • Schedule and manage workflows using tools like Airflow or similar job schedulers.
  • Release Engineering:
    • Support on-demand and scheduled release management processes for data pipelines.
