Senior Data Engineer Job Opportunity

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced data engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the mathematical and statistical expertise to develop modern data warehouse solutions using Snowflake and ADF.

As a senior data engineer, you will be responsible for developing forward-thinking solutions in the data engineering and analytics space. You will work closely with DW/BI leads to understand new ETL pipeline development requirements, triage issues to find gaps in existing pipelines, and fix them.

You will also work with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and develop a data model. Additionally, you will help team members resolve technical challenges and drive technical discussions with client architects and team members.

Key responsibilities include orchestrating data pipelines in the scheduler via Airflow, working with structured and unstructured data, including imaging and geospatial data, and implementing Dev/Ops environment with tools such as Terraform, CircleCI, and GIT.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in SQL, Spark (PySpark), and Databricks Delta Lake Architecture. Experience with Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate/Professional Certification is desirable.

Other key qualifications include a bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience, total 6+ years of IT experience, and 3+ years' experience in Data warehouse/ETL projects.

  • Designing and implementing modern data warehouse solutions using Snowflake and ADF.
  • Developing forward-thinking solutions in the data engineering and analytics space.
  • Collaborating with DW/BI leads to understand new ETL pipeline development requirements.
  • Providing strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Databricks Delta Lake Architecture, Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate/Professional Certification.
