Unlocking Funding Opportunities

As a seasoned research professional, you will be responsible for identifying and securing funding opportunities through competitive applications, grants, and awards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and track relevant funding opportunities, including government grants, research programs, innovation challenges, and international competitions.
  • Analyze eligibility criteria, requirements, and competitive landscapes for each opportunity to maximize success.
  • Maintain a database of upcoming opportunities with deadlines and strategic fit to ensure timely submissions.
  • Develop high-quality, tailored grant applications, proposals, and award submissions that meet organizational strategy and mission objectives.
  • Collaborate with product, clinical, R&D, and business teams to gather technical and business insights for informed decision-making.
  • Ensure applications align with organizational goals, mission, and product innovation roadmap to drive meaningful impact.
  • Edit, proofread, and refine submissions to guarantee clarity, persuasiveness, and compliance with submission guidelines.
  • Work closely with leadership to prioritize opportunities based on funding potential and strategic alignment, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Establish templates, best practices, and documentation to streamline future submissions and improve efficiency.
  • Provide valuable insights into trends in funding landscapes, including emerging areas such as healthtech, AI, and medtech grants.
  • Build relationships with funding bodies, grant officers, and program managers to stay updated on the latest opportunities and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of applications submitted, status updates, and outcomes to inform future decision-making.
  • Track key performance indicators such as win rates and funding amounts secured to measure success and drive improvement.
  • Prepare reports and updates for senior leadership on grant activities and pipeline to ensure transparency and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in grant writing, proposal development, or research funding.
  • Strong track record of successful applications to competitive grants, awards, or research programs.
  • Excellent research, writing, and editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific/technical information into persuasive, accessible language.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, medtech, or digital health sectors.
  • Familiarity with global funding programs (e.g., EU Horizon, NIH, SBIR, H2020).
  • Knowledge of intellectual property, regulatory, or R&D processes.
  • Prior experience collaborating with clinicians, researchers, or technical teams on applications.
