Investment Analyst Role

Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to contribute to our hedge fund's success. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial markets and instruments, with a proven track record of delivering accurate and timely reporting.

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly net asset value (NAV) calculations for hedge fund portfolios, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Reconcile profit and loss statements between fund administrator reports, internal records, and prime broker statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Conduct cash reconciliation across custodians, banks, and internal systems, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in positions, pricing, fees, and expenses, providing recommendations for process improvements.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and accruals, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Assist in performance reporting and investor statements, presenting data-driven insights to stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's or professional certification like CFA/CPA is an advantage).
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in fund accounting or hedge fund operations, preferably with exposure to NAV calculation and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, including equities, derivatives, fixed income, FX, and other assets.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, with knowledge of fund accounting software (e.g., Advent Geneva, Investran, or similar) a plus.
