Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hedge Fund Accountant to join our team. As a Hedge Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for reviewing and preparing daily and monthly NAVs (Net Asset Values) for hedge fund clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and prepare daily and monthly NAVs for hedge fund clients.
  2. Prepare cash position market value reconciliations and resolve breaks.
  3. Notify clients and client service managers of valid breaks.
  4. Analyze pricing exceptions and review corporate actions booked in the system.
  5. Accrue and amortize daily or monthly non-security related fee accruals, including management fees and financing accruals.
  6. Process non-automated transactions, including OTC derivatives and their related cash movements.
  7. Communicate effectively with clients on daily reporting of estimates NAVs and query resolutions.
  8. Check that all OTC products traded by clients have been booked correctly.
  9. Book capital activities of the fund and finalize month-end NAVs.
  10. Support audits for funds in preparation of financial statements.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with an investment management or finance-related firm.
  • Good knowledge of the investment industry with 1-10 years of experience in hedge fund administration or related industry experience.
  • Familiarity with general ledger accounting and demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to think critically and objectively.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
