Job Title: Data Engineering Specialist

Data engineering is a pivotal role in any organization, and as a data engineering specialist, you will play a critical part in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems. Your primary responsibility will be to develop efficient ETL pipelines using Informatica and other tools to process and transform massive datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will work extensively with SQL to query, optimize, and manage data across systems, ensuring that it is accurate, timely, and easily accessible.
  • Develop scalable data solutions and automation scripts using Python, leveraging your expertise in programming languages to create efficient workflows.
  • Implement and optimize data models following data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Slowly Changing Dimensions, etc.), providing insights into the organization's data landscape.
  • Leverage GCP services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, etc.) for data ingestion, transformation, and storage, taking advantage of cloud-based infrastructure to support growth and scalability.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable datasets and actionable insights, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure performance and data quality, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues that arise.
  • Document data workflows, processes, and standards, creating clear guidelines for future development and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results under pressure.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (query optimization, stored procedures, performance tuning), demonstrating expertise in database management and querying techniques.
  • Solid experience with ETL development using Informatica and strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, showcasing understanding of data architecture and design principles.
  • Proficient in Python programming for data processing and automation, with a solid grasp of scripting languages and their applications in data engineering.
  • Practical experience working with GCP services, especially BigQuery, demonstrating familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and its capabilities.
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and performance best practices, highlighting commitment to delivering high-quality data assets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment, promoting effective communication and cooperation among team members.
