Job Title: Data Engineering Specialist

Purpose:

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineering specialist to collaborate with our team of software, data, and DevOps engineers in guiding clients' data modernization journey.

Our team works with innovative companies creating new products in emerging markets. We bring experienced senior engineers, cutting-edge technologies, and creative thinking to help clients achieve their full potential through data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert consulting services on cloud-first strategies for core data initiatives
  • Offering thought leadership on process and technical matters
  • Becoming a trusted advisor to clients on all facets of Data Engineering
  • Designing, developing, deploying, and supporting the modernization and transformation of clients' end-to-end data strategy
  • Mentoring and educating client teams to keep them up to speed with the latest approaches, tools, and skills

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Data Engineer Associate
  • Experience working in consulting or contracting capacity in large data management and modernization programs
  • Proficiency in SQL Servers, data engineering, and experience with platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse
  • Strong knowledge of Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture
  • Understanding of securing Azure environment
  • Knowledge of Kafka and Spark
  • Experience as DBA in large-scale MS SQL environments deployed in Azure
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Scala or Python
  • Knowledge of Linux administration and networking
  • Scripting skills and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience
  • Understanding of security and corporate governance issues related to cloud-first data architecture
