Job Overview

As a data governance specialist, you will be responsible for leading and managing enterprise-level data governance initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in data governance frameworks, metadata management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain data governance frameworks to ensure data quality and enable data stewardship across the organization.
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation and administration of a data intelligence platform.
  • Design and configure an operating model, including domains, assets, workflows, and roles.
  • Develop and maintain custom workflows using BPMN and workflow designer.
  • Integrate with enterprise systems using APIs and connectors.
  • Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, and business users to define and enforce data governance policies.
  • Provide training and support to business and technical users on data governance best practices.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal and external data governance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data quality.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with data governance tools, including configuration, workflow development, and integration.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data stewardship, and data lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript).
  • Experience with data cataloging, lineage, and business glossary.
  • Familiarity with data platforms like Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Informatica, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in enterprise-level deployments of data governance solutions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
  • Background in data architecture or data engineering is a plus.
