Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving enterprise-level data governance initiatives across structured and unstructured data domains.

This includes Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and internal ERP systems. As a subject matter expert, the candidate will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for data governance and quality.

Key responsibilities include creating and editing data requirements, data models, data dictionaries, process maps, and data lineage/mapping.

The candidate must also utilize a standardized approach to capture and document metadata across data domains.

Effective communication with stakeholders is crucial to gather and address data requirements and feedback.

The Data Governance Specialist will develop valuation and quality measures and share them across business units.

They will manage metadata and data quality processes using tools like Informatica, Collibra, SAP, and Microsoft 365.

Additionally, they will tag and classify unstructured data (e.g., PII) across platforms such as SharePoint, Teams, and internal ERP systems.

Supporting compliance with ISO standards, GDPR, SOX, and internal AI data controls is essential.

The candidate will manage assets within DTUS (Data Technology Unified Services) and support lifecycle governance for SuccessFactors/HXM data.

Continuous improvement efforts, monitoring results, and conducting benchmarking activities are also important aspects of this role.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in data management, with demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and explain systems and approaches for data to enable business decisions.

Mastery of relational database theories and schemas is required.

Strong communication skills, ability to influence and engage stakeholders, and build trust and credibility with peers and leaders are essential.

Required Skills:

  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Technical, Data Science, or Statistics
  • Experience with data management tools and technologies
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
