Job Role

 

To excel in this role, you will be responsible for scrutinizing refund requests related to real estate taxes.

This position necessitates attention to detail, analytical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely resolution of refund cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review tax payment records, escrow accounts, and disbursement histories to identify discrepancies or incorrect submissions.
  • Analyze tax authority documentation, payment confirmations, and client records to validate refund eligibility.
  • Coordinate with tax authorities to initiate and track refund requests.
  • Prepare refund documentation, reconcile amounts, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of refund cases in tracking systems and ensure timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (disbursement, tax setup, escrow, finance) to resolve discrepancies and provide supporting documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding refund status, timelines, and escalations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1–2 years of experience in real estate tax servicing, mortgage operations, escrow, or financial services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, databases, and tax platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
