Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned retail professional to lead our flagship ethnic wear store operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily store activities including opening, closing, cash handling and POS systems management.
  • Ensure the store maintains a luxurious ambiance through effective visual merchandising, cleanliness and customer service standards.
  • Implement seasonal campaigns, festive promotions and new collection launches as directed by head office.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing inventory, maintaining a unique brand experience and leading a team of sales staff, stylists and support personnel.

Sales & Customer Experience
  • Drive sales revenue targets and exceed monthly goals.
  • Provide personalized styling guidance to customers for sarees, blouses and accessories.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently in accordance with company policies.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with loyal customers and promote membership programs.
Team Leadership
  • Recruit, train and supervise sales staff, stylists and support personnel.
  • Monitor staff performance, set targets and conduct regular team meetings.
  • Motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Inventory Management
  • Oversee stock movement, replenishment, tagging and barcoding.
  • Maintain accurate records of saree collections and minimize stock loss or shrinkage.
  • Provide timely feedback on bestsellers, customer preferences and market trends to the merchandising team.
Marketing & Engagement
  • Organize in-store events such as saree showcases, draping workshops and wedding collection previews.
  • Coordinate with marketing for influencer visits, live streaming and customer engagement activities.
  • Promote store offers and exclusive collections through local channels and social media collaborations.
Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare sales and footfall reports.
  • Ensure compliance with billing, GST and company policies.
  • Maintain safety and operational excellence within the store.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess strong leadership and people management skills, excellent communication in English, Bengali and Hindi, knowledge of ethnic wear fabrics, draping styles and customer preferences. A customer-first mindset, problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in high-footfall seasons are essential.

A Bachelor's degree in Retail, Fashion Management or Business is preferred, along with 4-6 years of experience in apparel or ethnic retail management and proven success in achieving sales targets and leading retail teams.
