Procurement Specialist Role

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient supply of technical spare parts and services to our vessels. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with superintendents for the timely delivery of technical spare parts or ship repair jobs.
  • Managing purchasing activities and arranging logistics to connect spares to vessels.
  • Coordinating with suppliers worldwide for quotations on annual, bi-annual, 5-yearly, and 10-yearly services, as well as technical spare parts and anodes bulk purchases.
  • Communicating with vessels on requisition information and following up on supplier quotations.
  • Preparing purchase orders and delivery orders, proforma invoices, and packing lists.
  • Assisting in logistics arrangements, including air freight, sea freight, land transport, and sea transport.
  • Coordinating with agents and ships for spare part and repair service supply to vessels at convenient ports.
  • Processing invoices, verifying vendor invoices against quotations, and ensuring invoices are processed within the credit term period.
  • Documenting filing and printing of invoices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in spares stores services and technical purchasing.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Timely liaison with superintendents for technical spare parts and services.
  • Purchasing and logistics coordination for vessel supplies.
  • Worldwide supplier coordination for services and spare parts quotations.
