Job Role

As a Venture Capital Associate, you will be part of a core team working directly under the Managing Director. Your key responsibilities include sourcing investors, structuring deals, closing deals, evaluating startups, managing due diligence, and supporting portfolio companies.

  • Deal Sourcing: Identify potential investors through networks, events, inbound leads, accelerators, and referrals.
  • Evaluation of Investments: Analyze business models, financials, traction, and scalability of potential investments.
  • Due Diligence: Support legal, financial, and compliance checks on shortlisted startups.
  • Portfolio Support: Work with portfolio companies on fundraising, growth strategy, and performance tracking.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth research into sectors, prepare market maps, and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Fund Operations: Assist with investment memoranda, reporting to limited partners, and internal fund documentation.
  • Ecosystem Building: Represent the firm at startup events, demo days, and founder meetings.

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A completed or ongoing bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
  • 6-12 months of experience in venture capital, private equity, consulting, investment banking, or startup strategy.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Strong networking skills and prior built-up network.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, lean team environment.
