Job Position: Estimation and Tendering Engineer

Discreetly manage Estimation and Tendering projects with our team, cultivating expert engineers to succeed in highway or bridge infrastructure ventures.

We seek an astute candidate adept at handling tender estimations during the pre-bid stage and preparing detailed Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for internal projects.

As a crucial member of our team, you will handle the following responsibilities:

  • Pre-Bid Tender Estimation
    • Thoroughly review and interpret tender documents, schedules, General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), and technical specifications.
  • Preliminary BoQ preparation based on schematic or tender drawings.
  • Closely coordinate with the engineering team to finalize assumptions and clarify ambiguities in quantities.
  • Maintain and update material rates and quantity databases.
  • Post-Award Quantity Take-Offs
    • Adeptly read and interpret final IFC/approved drawings for accurate quantity take-off.
  • Extract quantities related to highways and structural elements including RCC, prestressing, reinforcement, bearings, etc.
  • Collaborate with design and drafting teams to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare structured and itemized BoQs for client submissions, tender support, or project billing.
  • Provide exceptional client service as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in infrastructure or infrastructure design-based quantity surveying.
  • Prior experience in highway projects is highly desirable.
  • Unwavering proficiency in reading technical drawings and GFC documents.
  • Hands-on experience with Excel; knowledge of AutoCAD or any BoQ preparation software is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with IRC/IS codes and construction practices for bridges/highways is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
