Job Description

You will join our Fund Accounting Centre of Excellence in Pune and assist in the governance, control, and management of financial reporting processes for designated funds/entities. You will be an integral part of the Fund Accounting Team in London, interacting daily with Operations teams, Strategy Accounting Leads, and Fund Controllers.

This role offers a unique opportunity to interact and coordinate with multiple stakeholders across various locations, including client Group Finance, tax, and legal functions, fund administrators, and auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fund Accounting and Investor Reporting:
    • Lead and support monthly/quarterly financial, investor, and regulatory reporting.
    • Oversight and high-level knowledge of different strategies/assets classes.
    • Support annual financial statement review and audit process, meeting KPIs.
    • Interact with fund administrators for accurate and timely financial/investor reporting.
  • Group Reporting:
    • Final review/shadowing of Management Fees, reporting to client's Group Finance function.
    • Lead AUM/FUM information reporting to client's Group Finance function.
    • Lead workstream for ad-hoc data requests from PLC Group Finance.
  • Administrator Oversight, Systems, and Process Management:
    • Lead fund administrator assessments and feedback, monitoring SLAs/KPIs.
    • Lead workstream with Operations teams for deal recording in in-house systems.
    • Maintain data integrity and adequate process documentation.
  • Projects:
    • Lead ad-hoc projects for Fund Accounting operating model improvement and overall betterment.
  • People Management:
    • Oversee up to 6 Fund Accountants, providing direction, guidance, and review.
    • Responsible for team training and development, performance reviews, and training requirements.
  • COE Specific Responsibilities:
    • Lead efficiency initiatives and transformation ideas from India.
    • Ensure operational metrics, management reporting, and requests are completed on time.
    • Evaluate material issues impacting client deliverables, SLAs, and KPIs, escalating as needed.
    • Develop operational risk best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure mandatory trainings, policies, and procedures are followed by the team.
