MEP Design Specialist

The MEP CAD Technician will support the design and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services by preparing accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models. Working closely with engineers, designers, and project teams, the technician will ensure coordinated, detailed, and compliant documentation that supports efficient project delivery.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop precise 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Collaborate with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Maintain adherence to project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company CAD/BIM protocols.
  • Support the creation of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Manage drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Assist project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (preferred).
  • Experience in creating MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
