Job Title:

Automation Systems Specialist

Responsibility Summary:

The Automation Systems Specialist will be responsible for leading the detailed technical clarification of requested equipment, including taking ownership and responsibility for proposed equipment during project execution. This role involves providing technical elaboration and vendor management for detail design, as well as developing functional specifications for process coding, defining hardware equipment, and creating instrumentation lists and cable lists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed technical clarification on requested equipment, including proposing and owning equipment during project execution
  • Develop technical specifications for process coding and hardware equipment
  • Manage vendors for detail design and provide technical support as needed
  • Ensure adherence to current good engineering practices and industrial standards applicable to the project
  • Participate in international and national travel to support site commissioning, E&C activities at customers and local vendors

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field with 8-10 years of experience
  • Proven experience in automation and controls engineering, particularly in the process industry (e.g., beer production, wine or water industry)
  • Proficiency in HMI and PLC programming on Siemens and AB Rockwell platforms, including WinCC, TIA Portal, and Simatic Manager
  • Familiarity with industry guidelines for designing, manufacturing, testing, and documenting food and beverage process equipment
  • Ability to handle engineering changes during project execution, including communication, agreements, cost, and time impacts

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position that requires frequent travel to customer sites and local vendors.
