Senior Data Architect Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to join our organization. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines, ensuring the efficient storage and processing of large datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Data Pipelines: Select and integrate various Big Data tools and frameworks to meet business requirements.
  • ETL Process Management: Develop and maintain ETL processes, monitor performance, and advise on necessary infrastructure changes.
  • Technical Design: Translate complex technical and functional requirements into detailed designs.
  • Alternative Solution Analysis: Investigate and analyze alternative solutions to data storing, processing, etc., to ensure streamlined approaches are implemented.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong Understanding of Data Warehousing: Proficient in data warehousing and data modeling techniques.
  • Distributed Computing Principles: Experienced in Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS, and other distributed computing principles.
  • Data Engineering Skills: Strong skills in GCP cloud platforms, including Airflow, Cloud Composer, Data Fusion, Data Flow, Data Proc, and Big Query.
  • Stream-Processing Systems: Experienced in building stream-processing systems using Storm or Spark-Streaming.
  • Big Data Querying Tools: Proficient in Pig, Hive, Impala, and other Big Data querying tools.
  • ETL Techniques: Experienced in various ETL techniques and frameworks, such as Flume, Apache NiFi, or DBT.
