Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled editor to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-quality content. As a US Sports News Editor, you will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of statistical data and facts, proofreading articles, and enhancing their overall quality before publication.

The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the fundamentals of the English language and American culture, with experience in proofreading and/or content editing. Prior experience leading a team of writers would be an additional asset.

You will be responsible for:

  • Actively editing and publishing 20-25 articles daily
  • Proofreading articles to ensure no errors remain and checking plagiarism
  • Researching to verify the accuracy of facts and identifying incorrect claims
  • Publishing articles in a timely fashion for priority news-based articles
  • Mentoring and guiding writers to refine their quality and output
  • Ensuring smooth daily operations of writers in the sport division

You will be a perfect fit if you:

  • Have a good understanding of the fundamentals of the English language and American culture
  • Are quick with fact-checking and enhancing editorial quality
  • Take ownership of publishing articles on time and are flexible for event coverage days
  • Have leadership qualities, are a good judge of character, and have a knack for people management

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in proofreading and/or content editing
  • Prior experience leading a team of writers would be an additional plus
