Data Transformation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Transformation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for guiding clients through their data modernization journey.

In this role, you will collaborate with clients on cloud-first strategies for core data initiatives and provide thought leadership on process and technical matters. You will establish yourself as a trusted advisor on all aspects of Data Engineering and design, develop, deploy, and support end-to-end data strategy transformation.

Your expertise will be invaluable in helping clients achieve their full data-driven potential. With strong knowledge of Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture, you will lead the implementation of scalable and secure data solutions. Your experience with Kafka and Spark, along with your skills in SQL Servers, data engineering on platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse, will enable you to drive business growth through data-driven insights.

We require candidates who have either Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification. A proven track record of working in consulting or contracting capacity in large data management and modernization programs is essential. Additionally, strong problem-solving skills, scripting skills, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using PowerShell, Bash, and ARM templates are crucial.

  • Required Experience:
  • MUST have either Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Data Engineer Associate
  • Experience working in consulting or contracting capacity in large data management and modernization programs
  • Strong knowledge of Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture
  • Strong understanding of securing Azure environment, including RBAC, Key Vault, and Azure Security Center
  • Strong knowledge of Kafka and Spark, with extensive experience using them in production environments
  • Strong DBA experience in large-scale MS SQL environments deployed in Azure
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to quickly resolve complex issues
  • Strong knowledge of Scala or Python programming languages
  • Strong Linux administration and networking skills
  • Scripting skills and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using PowerShell, Bash, and ARM templates
  • Understanding of security and corporate governance issues related to cloud-first data architecture
