Key Client Liaison Role

About the Job:

  • We seek a seasoned professional to establish and maintain strong relationships with key authorities in member countries.
  • The successful candidate will identify target clients for proactive engagement and develop strategies to initiate, manage, and grow these relationships.
  • A critical component of this role is developing multi-year rolling pipelines of covered member countries, working closely with relevant stakeholders and departments.
  • This position requires monitoring and facilitating internal processes to ensure prompt client response.
  • Additionally, the individual will support stakeholder communication on business strategy and goals for public-sector operations.
  • Motivating and coaching junior colleagues, as well as supervising region and country liaison consultants, are also key responsibilities.
  • This role involves ensuring key issues are considered in planning public-sector operations.
  • The ideal candidate will assess economic and sector policies impacting AIIB's operations.
  • They will oversee investment operation implementation, enhancing quality and accelerating project delivery.
  • Frequent engagement with clients, co-financing partners, and stakeholders on strategic issues is required.
  • Supporting business development activities in public-sector projects is another essential aspect of this role.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in country coverage and client relations is mandatory.
  • A Master's degree or equivalent in business administration, economics, or public administration is required.
  • Strong understanding of economics and development finance is necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities are crucial.
  • Knowledge of public-sector operations and policy reforms is essential.
  • Experience working with development operations and project inputs/activities/outcomes/economic impact is required.
  • A self-starting individual with initiative, demonstrated leadership, and adaptability is preferred.
