Job Description

The role of an HVAC Mechanical Systems Designer is pivotal in creating, implementing, and maintaining mechanical systems for various projects. A successful candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement mechanical systems, equipment selections, specifications, and other related processes for diverse projects.
  • Create detailed technical construction drawings, calculations, and specifications for mechanical systems using computer-assisted engineering or design software/tools such as AutoCAD, REVIT, Navisworks, Trane Trace, and Carrier HAP.
  • Conduct thorough calculations and prepare relevant technical specifications, sequence of operations, and details for the project based on customer requirements and existing conditions.
  • Familiarity with Codes including NYC Building Code, International Codes, Mechanical Code, Energy Code, NFPA Standards, and ASHRAE Standards.
  • Review design concept, calculations, drawings to ensure accuracy of design intent, Code Compliance, and customer requirements.
  • Review Engineering submittals, shop drawings, and various construction administration procedures to provide quick turnaround during the project's construction phase.
  • Develop training modules, calculation procedures, and other company tool development methods used in Design & Execution. Train young engineers to conform to standards and improve performances.
  • Coordinate with clients, project managers, and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of projects as per schedule and requirements.
  • Develop cost estimation and Bill of materials as per design concept.

Requirements:

  • 4+ Years of experience in HVAC Design Engineering.
  • Strong skills in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience working with Building Services.
  • Experience working on International projects, preferably in the US.
  • Team handling experience.
