Senior Interface Developer Job Description

This role requires designing, developing, and supporting interfaces that enable seamless data exchange between clinical and enterprise systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards and workflows.

  • Design and implement complex healthcare interfaces using Corepoint, Mirth Connect, and Rhapsody.
  • Perform rigorous testing of interfaces to ensure data integrity, message routing accuracy, and system reliability.
  • Monitor interface performance and provide timely support for production issues.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all interfaces.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in healthcare integration/interface development.
  • Strong knowledge of HL7 standards (v2.x, v3, FHIR, CCD).
  • Experience with various communication protocols such as SFTP, MLLP, and web services (SOAP/REST).
  • Hands-on expertise in at least one interface engine: Corepoint, Rhapsody, or Mirth.
  • Good understanding of healthcare workflows, EHR data exchange, and interoperability concepts.
