Job Description:

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for leading large teams in quality control (QC) departments, including the analytical method validation (AMV) team, and ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Health, Safety, and Environment requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the QC-AMV team of 30+ members for regular testing and method validation activities
  • Providing backup support to the Quality Head of Department (HOD) with daily updates, monthly sample status, laboratory management, training, and coordination with all stakeholders
  • Executing and approving different types of quality management systems (QMS) and identifying scientific root causes with effective corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Designing and executing planning of analysis, data interpretation, and presenting findings to the HOD
  • Guiding team members to improve work quality and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs)
Qualifications & Pre-Requisites:

The ideal candidate should have a Master's Degree in Science or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Pharma, strong analytical knowledge, and expertise in modern analytical instruments like High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), or Near-Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with GLP, Health, Safety, and Environment requirements
  • Should have good working experience in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and has faced USFDA/EU audits
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively
