Cloud Native Data Engineering Lead

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Native Data Engineering Lead to spearhead the development and implementation of a scalable, secure, and compliant cloud-native platform.

  • About the Role:
  • This is a leadership position that requires strong expertise in building platforms using AWS services, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker & Kubernetes.
  • The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business, and security) to define priorities and solve challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design end-to-end data pipelines leveraging AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and SageMaker.
  • Implement data product storage, processing, and APIs using AWS-native tools and serverless architectures.
  • Use AWS Lake Formation for fine-grained access control and secure data sharing across domains.
  • Architect multi-tenant, domain-oriented data lakes and integrate with Redshift Spectrum / Athena for distributed querying.
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK) for provisioning and managing cloud resources.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in platform engineering, data architect, data engineering, or solution architecture.
  • Strong expertise in building scalable, secure, and compliant cloud-native platforms.
  • Proven track record in designing and managing multi-tenant systems on AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud, Big data and Analytics ecosystem.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Advanced skills in Terraform (IaC).
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
