Highly Skilled Cloud Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Lead MS-SQL DBA to work on designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Microsoft SQL Server databases within the Azure cloud environment.
This individual will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of data for various applications.
- Provision, configure, and manage Azure SQL Databases, Managed Instances, and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines
- Design, implement, and monitor HA/DR strategies such as Always On Availability Groups, geo-replication, and failover groups to ensure business continuity and data resilience
- Plan and execute robust backup and restore operations, validate recovery procedures, and ensure compliance with Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
- Monitor database performance using Azure Monitor, SQL Insights, and Query Store
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks by optimizing queries, indexes, and resource allocation
- 8+ years of experience working on Azure MS-SQL databases
- Experience in designing and architecture of Public cloud such as Oracle OCI or Azure
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
- Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Experience with database security principles and implementation
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI)
