Job Description:

  • As a senior operations expert, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the food and beverage department.

  • You will work proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries.

  • You will deliver on plans and objectives where food and beverage initiatives and hotel targets are achieved.

  • You will supervise the food and beverage team, fostering a culture of growth, development, and performance within the department.

  • You will be accountable for ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained.

  • You will build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.

  • You will take the lead to deliver departmental programs that advance service standards, profitability, and cost control.

  • You will ensure adherence and compliance to all legislation, performing due diligence requirements and best practice activities for internal and external audit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the day-to-day management of the restaurant and ensures high-quality food and beverage services are delivered.
  • Works closely with the rest of the hotel team to ensure seamless delivery of services to our guests.
  • Ensures the restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and operates efficiently.
  • Provides excellent customer service, responding promptly to any issues or concerns.
  • Responsible for ordering stock, managing inventory, and controlling costs.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.

  • Strong supervisory and managerial skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style.

  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry.

  • Ability to find creative solutions with proven problem-solving capabilities offering support where required.

  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time, and energy.

  • Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms.

  • Strong communication skills.
