Baker Responsibilities:

  • To manage the efficient operation and control of the Bakery Shop according to company policies and standards.
  • To produce a high-quality bread assortment for daily menus, meeting company expectations and quality requirements.
  • To assist the Head Baker in preparing production forecasts, recording leftovers, and maintaining accurate records.
  • To set up attractive displays in various buffets, presenting our products in an appealing manner.
  • To maintain knowledge of United States Public Health rules and regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • To clean the bakery shop as per Executive Chef's schedule, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • To prepare the bakery for USPH inspections, being prepared and organized.
  • To requisition and transport necessary items from main stores to the bakery shop efficiently.
  • To ensure recipes and yields meet company standards, optimizing performance and efficiency.
  • To assist the CDP Baker with daily consumption re-cap, providing support and guidance when needed.
  • To provide excellent service to guests and crew members, exceeding expectations and promoting a positive atmosphere.
  • To attend meetings, training activities, and work-related events, staying informed and engaged.
Financial Management
  • To manage budget, expenses, and revenue targets effectively, making data-driven decisions.
  • To contain costs through proper use, handling, and maintenance of records, reports, supplies, and equipment.
Motivational Leadership
  • To manage staff to ensure optimal performance, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • To monitor and manage workstation functions, assign duties, and evaluate staff and work procedures, promoting growth and development.
  • To mentor and develop staff to strengthen performance and prepare for future advancement, investing in their success.
Qualifications and Education
  • A minimum of three years' experience as a Baker in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship, demonstrating expertise and skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, requirements, and equipment use, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Completion of high school or basic education equivalency required, demonstrating a strong foundation in education.
