Job Title: Plant Equipment Operator

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining various plant machinery. This role involves ensuring smooth production processes, maintaining product quality, adhering to safety standards, and minimizing downtime.

  • Operate and monitor plant equipment such as batching systems, mixers, cutting machines, autoclaves, and conveyors.
  • Ensure proper feeding of raw materials as per production requirements.
  • Monitor process parameters and adjust equipment to maintain desired quality and output.
  • Conduct routine checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Record production data, machine performance, and downtime accurately.
  • Assist in troubleshooting breakdowns and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the plant area.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards.

Requirements:

  • ITI or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing plant, preferably in AAC Blocks or construction materials industry.
  • Knowledge of process operations, industrial safety, and equipment handling.
  • Ability to work in shifts and handle physical tasks.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge for recording production data.

Work Environment:

  • Factory-based role with exposure to machinery, dust, heat, and noise.
  • Requires wearing safety gear, helmets, gloves, shoes, masks, etc.

With experience, the Plant Equipment Operator can grow into roles such as Senior Operator, Shift In-Charge, Production Supervisor, or Plant Engineer.
