Job Title: DB2 Database Administrator


We are seeking a highly skilled DB2 Database Administrator to join our team. As a DB2 Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, and performance of DB2 database systems through proactive maintenance and support.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor database performance and recommend tuning and optimization strategies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist in capacity planning, space management, and regular data maintenance tasks to ensure databases run smoothly.
  • Perform database enhancements and modifications based on business and technical requirements.
  • Execute regular database backup and recovery operations to prevent data loss.
  • Develop and maintain patches and updates for database environments to ensure they remain secure and up-to-date.
  • Identify and implement database techniques to support business needs and improve data management processes.
  • Support implementation of new features and bug fixes in DB2 databases to improve their functionality.
  • Maintain robust database security practices and disaster recovery procedures to protect against potential threats.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain multiple databases across environments to ensure minimal downtime.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in DB2 database administration.
  • Strong knowledge of DB2 database management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
