Key Role Description:

This senior-level position is pivotal in ensuring the organization’s compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

The role involves providing expert legal counsel, navigating complex legal landscapes, safeguarding intellectual property, and facilitating agreements and collaborations.

The position contributes to the organization’s mission by protecting its interests and ensuring that all activities are aligned with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, providing guidance on adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure timely filings and responses.
  • Develop, negotiate, and finalize agreements, contracts, and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with collaborating institutions, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee documentation related to grants, research funding, and arrangements with various partners.
  • Collaborate with IP lawyers to develop and finalize IP policies, licensing agreements, and privacy policies.
  • Handle corporate and institutional legal matters as required.
  • Prioritize candidates with experience in higher education institutions and NGOs.
  • Manage litigation, arbitration, and other legal proceedings involving the organization.

Essential Qualifications: Skills & Experience:

  • Graduation in Law from a reputable institute.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in legal roles, preferably within universities or NGOs in Maharashtra.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills.
