Job Title: Commercial Audit Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting financial statement audits in accordance with US GAAP and US GAAS.
  • Leading a team of accounting and auditing experts, providing guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality results.
  • Independently conducting thorough research on accounting and auditing matters, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • BUILDING AND MAINTAINING STRONG WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH PEERS, SUPERVISORS, AND COLLEAGUES IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE.
  • Presenting and analyzing the impact of financial disclosures to stakeholders, communicating complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Position Requirements:

  • MINIMUM 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN US GAAP AND GAAS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.
  • A Chartered Accountant or other qualified professional in the accounting and tax fields is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Caseware and Caseview is an asset, but not essential.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong teamwork and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications is required.
  • Industry exposure: General Commercial, with a strong preference for candidates with construction industry experience and a background in reviews and compilations.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
  • The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure is critical for this position.
  • Willingsness to learn new software is also an asset.
  • This is a dynamic and fast-paced work environment that requires flexibility and adaptability.
