Financial Systems Specialist

You have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, global finance environment.

As a Financial Systems Specialist, you'll play a key role in bridging business and IT to continuously evolve and optimize our financial closing platform. You'll help design and implement new features, validate critical business processes, and provide direct support to global stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with global business users to understand requirements and translate them into system solutions
  • Act as a critical voice to challenge over-engineered solutions and promote simplicity using standard components
  • Become a subject matter expert for financial subledger processes
  • Support changes and enhancements from concept through testing and go-live
  • Contribute to quarterly financial closing operations, incident management, and documentation
  • Educate and support the global user community
About the Team

You'll be part of an international group of experienced professionals who run and enhance platforms used in global and local IFRS closings. This solution is vital to Swiss Re's financial reporting and continues to evolve as we adapt to regulatory changes and business needs.

About You

You're someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, works independently, and brings a strong mix of analytical thinking, curiosity, and ownership. You're also excited about diving deeper into financial systems.

Requirements
  • Degree in a technical, financial, or business field (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in IT
  • Strong experience with product changes and operations (process standardization, documentation, testing)
  • Good working knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Office
  • Basic understanding of accounting and financial reporting
  • Willingness to learn scripting for test case automation
