Job Title: Performance and Monitoring Engineer

Role Overview:

BNP Paribas is seeking a skilled Performance and Monitoring Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance monitoring systems to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement observability systems using Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, Dynatrace, or other technologies.
  • Develop modern observability practices such as SRE, SLI/SLO, Synthetic, APM, RUM, and others.
  • Utilize script development skills in Python, Shell, PowerShell, or similar languages to create efficient monitoring solutions.
  • Work with CI/CD tools like GitLab, GitLab Runner, Jenkins, or other platforms to automate deployment and testing processes.
  • Apply ITIL or similar ITSM frameworks and tools to manage incident resolution and problem management.
  • Collaborate with the Service Now ticketing system to track and resolve technical issues.
  • Support Agile framework and tools like Jira, Confluence, or other platforms to facilitate project management and collaboration.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of performance monitoring concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with distributed systems and their complexities.
  • Familiarity with Red Hat Linux administration and performance management.
  • Basic knowledge of Ansible and Ansible Tower.
  • Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad, or OpenShift.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
