Job Title: IT Support Specialist

We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated individual to fill the role of IT Support Specialist.

  • This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with 2 to 3 years of experience in IT administration.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical assistance to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
  2. Assist in maintaining computers, servers, and networking equipment.
  3. Install and update software across the company's systems.
  4. Determine and resolve basic IT problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  5. Ensure regular data backups and contribute to the company's data security efforts.
  6. Maintain accurate records of IT assets, issues, and resolutions in a ticketing or documentation system.
  7. Monitor and maintain the company's local area network (LAN) and internet connectivity.
  8. Support basic IT security tasks, such as ensuring antivirus updates and security patches are applied.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support or administration.
  3. Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  4. Knowledge of network concepts, including IP addresses, DNS, routers, and switches.
  5. Awareness of hardware components, such as computers, printers, and servers.
  6. Proficiency in office productivity software, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
  8. Effective communication skills to interact with non-technical staff.
  9. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. IT certifications, such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals.
  2. Basic knowledge of network security and firewall configurations.
  3. Familiarity with cloud platforms, like Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
