Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Communications Director to lead our team of medical content writers.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical and scientific writing, with expertise in creating engaging content for diverse target audiences. They will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to scope. The successful candidate will also have experience in people management, guiding team members on content development and utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Development: Research, write, and edit a wide range of medical communication materials, including scientific manuscripts, marketing collateral, and educational content.
  • Audience Adaptation: Write/adapt/customize content to diverse target audiences, maintaining scientific integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce cohesive and effective communication materials.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to industry guidelines, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards to ensure high-quality content.
  • People & Project Management: Manage multiple projects, work closely with peers, review content created by fellow team members, train new hires, and optimize team utilization.
    • Key qualifications include a Master's degree in a relevant field, 5+ years of experience in medical communications or related field, and 2+ years as a people manager/team lead.
    • Additional requirements include strong understanding of pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, exceptional writing and editing skills, proficiency with industry-specific software, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
