Job Description:

The General Manager - Legal will oversee the organization's legal affairs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include managing legal risks, structuring transactions, negotiating arrangements with third parties, resolving legal problems, and advising on solutions to complete transactions within the operational framework.

To succeed in this role, one must have a solid understanding of legal principles, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will have experience building high-performing legal teams, instilling discipline and internal control, and setting up proper filing systems and procedures.

Additional responsibilities include managing litigation, arbitration, mediation, and other disputes, as well as providing legal advice on various business agreements and projects. Strategic planning and driving recovery value are also key aspects of this role.

The General Manager - Legal will work closely with government and regulatory bodies, authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and maximize recovery value. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to advise on complex business contracts and data protection agreements.
