Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quality Engineer to lead our test automation initiatives and drive quality excellence in our software development process.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for the full tech stack, including UI, API, Microservices, and Database.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and application architecture.
  • Develop and implement coding guidelines, peer reviews, Git workflow, process workflow, quality gates, and CI/CD processes based on defined best practices.
  • Actively participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Leadership and Mentoring
  • Mentor junior engineers to enhance, optimize, and stabilize automated test suites.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to a small group of SDETs, ensuring they adhere to SOPs and design guidelines.
Test Environment and Data Management
  • Lead the maintenance of test environments and ensure consistency with staging and production configurations.
  • Create and manage test data, ensuring it aligns with staging and production configurations.
Quality Engineering and Process Improvement
  • Design and document comprehensive test strategies, testing guidelines, standard operating procedures, utilities, and tooling to improve test automation efficiency.
  • Analyze customer issues, production metrics, and provide root cause analysis to engineers, recommending system hardening measures.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of related experience; or 6 years with an advanced degree.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, physics, math, statistics, or a related field.
  • Expert-level proficiency in coding and object-oriented programming, with extensive implementation in one or more programming languages (C#, Java, Python, etc.).
  • Experience with full-stack testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright), mobile testing (Appium, Espresso), and API testing (Rest Assured, HttpClient).
  • Familiarity with shell scripting, Powershell scripting, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Prior Experience Desired:

  • Work experience in the FinTech industry.
  • Building and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services.
