Job Summary:

Resiliency Tester

This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Resiliency Tester, where you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and fault tolerance of our enterprise-grade applications and infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing resiliency-focused testing strategies, developing and executing test plans, scripts, and scenarios to validate system recovery and high availability, and performing stress, load, chaos, and failure testing to simulate real-world disruptions and uncover vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Testing Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies that focus on resiliency, with the goal of identifying potential weaknesses and vulnerabilities in our systems.
  • Develop and Execute Test Plans: Create and execute detailed test plans, scripts, and scenarios to validate system recovery and high availability.
  • Perform Stress, Load, Chaos, and Failure Testing: Conduct stress, load, chaos, and failure testing to simulate real-world disruptions and uncover vulnerabilities in our systems.
  • Analyze Test Results: Analyze test results to provide actionable insights and risk assessments to engineering and leadership teams.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis on test failures and collaborate with teams to recommend improvements in design or operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in software testing, QA, or systems engineering with a focus on resiliency testing.
  • Strong Understanding: Strong understanding of system architecture, networking concepts, and database management systems.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Apache JMeter and Rational Performance Tester.
  • Proficiency: Proficiency in scripting/programming languages: Python and Java.
  • Solid Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Solid analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with DevOps, engineering, and infrastructure teams.
