Senior Accountant Job Description

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to oversee client accounting projects and data migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations, as well as proficiency in utilizing online accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly financial account closures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of transaction recording.
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations to guarantee precision and identify discrepancies.
  • Manage vendor bill preparation and payment processing for timely and accurate payments.
  • Post monthly and one-time expenses and prepare invoices for approval.
  • Prepare and submit HST data for filing, adhering to relevant regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and records.
  • Conduct regular audits and resolve discrepancies.

Data Migration Initiatives:

  • Develop customized data migration strategies tailored to each client's business operations.
  • Plan and execute data migration projects from various accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) to Zoho Books.
  • Guarantee secure and thorough transfer of financial data, including legacy data up to 20 years.
  • Perform detailed reconciliation checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of migrated data.
  • Identify and resolve any data inconsistencies or errors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • IPCC cleared with articleship experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance and Accounting field.
  • Proficiency in using online accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, FreshBooks, Xero, and Zoho Books.
  • A strong understanding of Zoho Books is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including IF formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within deadline.

Working Hours and Salary Range:

  • 5am EST to 2pm EST.
  • Competitive salary range: ₹5,00,000 - ₹7,20,000 p.a.
