Application Support Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support group, you will provide top-tier software support for application-related issues, ensuring the highest level of system availability and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems related to our applications.
  • Develop in-depth technical and business product knowledge to support multiple teams.
  • Monitor application performance, implement regular maintenance, and ensure system availability.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify, report, and resolve software defects and enhancements.
  • Work with various database technologies, including traditional relational databases and NoSQL systems like Couchbase and queuing mechanisms like RabbitMQ.
  • Write SQL queries to fetch data for reporting or data fixes as needed.
  • Troubleshoot logs using monitoring tools and traverse through code as necessary.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide support during rotational shifts and weekends.
  • Continuously improve support processes and contribute to the development of best practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience in providing top-tier software support for application-related issues.
  • Strong understanding of database technologies, including traditional relational databases and NoSQL systems.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries and troubleshoot logs using monitoring tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts and participate in on-call rotation.
