Senior Manager of Data Engineering Testing

This is a high-level testing position that requires expertise in software testing with a focus on data engineering systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop comprehensive testing frameworks for data pipelines and analytics platforms.
    • Ensure test coverage across ETL/ELT, data transformation, lineage, and consumption layers.
    • Design integrated testing strategies spanning multiple systems, APIs, and data sources.
    • Establish testing standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in software testing with 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • 8+ year experience testing data engineering systems, ETL pipelines, or analytics platforms.
  • Proven track record with complex, multi-system integration testing.
  • Experience in agile/scrum environments with rapid delivery cycles.
  • Strong SQL experience with major databases.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and their data services.
  • Knowledge of data pipeline tools.
  • Proficiency in data warehousing, data architecture, reporting, and analytics applications.
  • Scripting languages for test automation.
  • API testing tools and methodologies.
  • CI/CD/CT tools and practices.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
